radios, Eagle also introduces will be the new EVR-100,
with the optional VA-1 quality marine VHF antenna. With
selectable 7/1-watt power, this high-value compact package
includes a large 1” x 1.8” backlighted segmented LCD
display with dual-channel readout. With all legally allowed USA,
Canadian and International channels, the full 7-watts of power
easily allows 10 miles of boat-to-boat communications for inland
use. Transmit power-down to 1-watt is perfect for marina use,
while Weather Alert provides warning of area storms or poor
conditions. Other value/performance features include a
full-function hand microphone for left/right-handed use, 3-watts
of real external speaker audio power, and vessel battery-voltage
readout/alarm for peace-of-mind convenience.
Rounding out the new Eagle entries is the first Eagle 5/1-watt
waterproof VHF handheld radio, loaded with features, at an
unbeatable price. Ideal for entry-level handheld VHF users, the
new EHR-10 is a high-value package that includes NiMH
battery pack and charger. It features all legally allowed USA,
Canadian and International channels, bright red LED TX
transmission confirmation indicator, 4-bar battery indicator,
RSSI to meter strength of incoming/outgoing calls and weather
alerts. A backlit LCD display is larger than most VHF handhelds
comparably priced, while function keys are also illuminated for
low-light use.
